This is part 2 in my series of our successful Shaklee pregnancy stories. This is the story of Linda Dietz and the difference she felt in her first pregnancy than in her second pregnancy. The second time around she used Shaklee’s vitamins instead of the leading prenatal vitamins prescribed by her doctor. Thanks again to my Shaklee colleague Anne Siloy for providing Linda’s story.
I was not aware of Shaklee while I was pregnant with my first baby, so…
I took the prenatal that the doctor prescribed plus an extra B (whatever brand I happened to have). I always had to take the prenatal right before bed, though, because it made me nauseous otherwise, and the B wasn’t really any better. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I ended up with rather decent swelling in my ankles and feet and was pretty uncomfortable. I also had about 10 weeks of bleeding after giving birth, which was not fun, to say the least.
When I became pregnant with my second baby, I was already using the Shaklee Get Clean products so after trying the prenatals again with similar results, I decided to switch to Shaklee to see if it was really worth it or not. I took Vita-Lea, B-Complex, Vitamin C, OsteoMatrix, Omegaguard (added in the 3rd trimester), and Herb-Lax. When I was tested for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks, the doctor was impressed at my blood work, especially with my hemoglobin level, which he said was very good for a pregnant woman. I also had zero swelling right up to the time my baby was born.
After I delivered, I used Shaklee’s Physique hydration drink, which made a HUGE difference in how I felt, even after being up all night and having given birth. (I would recommend this to every pregnant woman out there!) When I called my mom a couple hours after having my baby, she could hardly believe it because I sounded so energetic. I delivered on Thursday morning, checked out of the hospital on Friday afternoon, and was already able to go to church on Sunday without any problems. And the best part was that I had only about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks of bleeding and was back starting to exercise after only 3 weeks, not to mention that I felt great emotionally as well.
Now, I have only had one non-Shaklee baby and one Shaklee baby, but I can guarantee that any children I have from this point forward will be Shaklee babies. The difference in how I felt during and after my pregnancy was like night and day, and I will never go back to feeling how I did when I know how good I can feel.
What do you think of the difference in Linda’s pregnancy from the first to the second? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section.
